Every year, we see these flyers for Harkins, but maybe you’re not quite sure what these items are or why our school is offering them.

 

Harkins sells many things besides movie tickets and they partner with schools and non-profits to raise funds.

 

One of the most popular items is their refillable souvenir cup. Purchase the cup for $7.00 and you can get $2.00 refills (first one is even free!) for all of 2021. If you purchase their summer movie tickets, this is a great way to get a cheap drink to stay cool!

 

We are also offering Popcorn to Go. Harkins sells a bag of their freshly popped, ready to eat popcorn (with butter!) that will feed 10 people. Each popcorn voucher is only $10 and they’ve even been doing curbside pick-up of it. 

 

Lastly, if you can’t decide what to get for that hard-to-shop-for person, we have both $10 and $25 gift cards available. Who doesn’t love movies? The best part is that these never expire. 

 

What does all this have to do with fundraising? Harkins offers them to us at a discounted price and the PTO sells them for regular price. You aren’t paying any more than you would in the theater, BUT Neely’s PTO gets some much needed cash to help our school continue to be awesome!

 

Orders are accepted by paper form only and must be turned in by Friday,  November 13th. Payment is by cash or check only. We will deliver the vouchers for your purchased items during early December so you can have time to get them to your family and friends for the holidays.

 

Flyers will be coming home soon or you may print one at home using the links in this post. Global Academy parents, you may print a form here and drop your orders in an envelope at the front office. Your vouchers will be held there for you when the orders come in.

Cozy and Warm Hoodies

You loved them last year, so they are back again! Each hoodie is individually embroidered with Neely’s logo on the upper right front. They are soft, comfortable, and fleece-lined, perfect for our Arizona winters.

Shirts will be delivered to desks in about 3 weeks. If you need help choosing a size, please refer to the sizing guides on the product page or contact us.

Our shirt is the perfect solution for those mild winter days when you still want to show your school spirit! They are screen printed with our logo, just like the short sleeved shirts. Long-sleeved shirts are $20 and come in adult (S-3XL) and child (XS-XL) sizes.

Extended sizes (2XL, 3XL) are $2 extra.

We’ve opted to embrace our new reality and offer custom Neely face masks.

They have an adorable front design and are available in adult and child sizes.

  • Non-returnable
  • We strongly suggest labeling the mask with your child’s name.
  • Mask is 90% Polyester/10% spandex for flexibility

Masks are $10 and come in adult and child sizes.

Amazon Smile & Prime Day = More $ for Neely!

 

What is Amazon Prime Day?

The Prime Day event is an annual celebration held for Amazon’s birthday, and this year it is to mark its 23rd year of business. It was first started in 2015. It was so successful that Amazon decided to make it an annual event. More than 100,000 deals were featured for consumers last year. Amazon will run select deals for an entire week.

 

When is Amazon Prime Day 2020?

Amazon has revealed that Prime Day will be a 48-hour shopping event.

Prime Day Sales will run from midnight PT on Tuesday, October 13 through Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 11:59pm PT.

The first two Prime Days lasted 24 hours, but in 2017 the event was expanded to 30 hours. In 2018, Amazon upped the ante again with Prime Day scheduled to go for 36 hours and then to 48 hours in 2019. Apparently that is the magic number, as it will run for 48 hours again!

 

Do I need to be an Amazon Prime customer?

Cafe Zupas is a salad, sandwich, and soup restaurant with a wide variety of seasonal ingredients. You can also make your own custom meal. There is even a complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberry that comes with every entree. Don’t forget to check out the wonderful desserts!

You can order online or through the app, call in your order, or stop by to place it in person. Dine-in is also an option, although seating is limited. Cafe Zupas offers curbside take-out, as well.

Creative, Safe, and Fun!

Board and Brush is a local shop specializing in fun, decorative signs. They have set up a special fundraiser for us that allows us to do something special together while apart.

They have even created a unique piece of art for Neely! Check it out!

How to join the fundraiser: Visit the Board and Brush site, find art you love, reserve your spot, and then pick up your kit at Board and Brush in downtown Gilbert on September 26th from 9am-12pm. The PTO will be there saying hi and handing out the kits safely.

There are few things you will need to know:

  • Paint is NOT included. There are a lot of legal and logistical reasons for this, but we are pretty sure everyone has some paint at home they can use for their projects.
    • Bonus – if it’s your paint, it probably matches your decor really well!
  • You must order by September 22 at 5pm.
  • Only orders placed at the link below will count towards our fundraiser. You will checkout and pay on Board and Brush’s website.
  • All of the @Home Kits include a design stencil, pre-stained wood board, foam paint brushes, plastic paint cups, sandpaper, cloth, a color mixing guide, and instructions.

Some ideas to make it a social event:

  • Plan your pick up time so you can wave and chat from your cars with your friends.
  • Choose the same design as your friend and do it together over video chat.
  • Pick an inspirational sign and drop off the completed one at a friend’s house to encourage them.
