Creative, Safe, and Fun!

Board and Brush is a local shop specializing in fun, decorative signs. They have set up a special fundraiser for us that allows us to do something special together while apart.

They have even created a unique piece of art for Neely! Check it out!

How to join the fundraiser: Visit the Board and Brush site, find art you love, reserve your spot, and then pick up your kit at Board and Brush in downtown Gilbert on September 26th from 9am-12pm. The PTO will be there saying hi and handing out the kits safely.

There are few things you will need to know:

  • Paint is NOT included. There are a lot of legal and logistical reasons for this, but we are pretty sure everyone has some paint at home they can use for their projects.
    • Bonus – if it’s your paint, it probably matches your decor really well!
  • You must order by September 22 at 5pm.
  • Only orders placed at the link below will count towards our fundraiser. You will checkout and pay on Board and Brush’s website.
  • All of the @Home Kits include a design stencil, pre-stained wood board, foam paint brushes, plastic paint cups, sandpaper, cloth, a color mixing guide, and instructions.

Some ideas to make it a social event:

  • Plan your pick up time so you can wave and chat from your cars with your friends.
  • Choose the same design as your friend and do it together over video chat.
  • Pick an inspirational sign and drop off the completed one at a friend’s house to encourage them.

We hope you will join us in supporting our school and a local business!

ORDER ONLINE

Then pick up your kit at Board and Brush in downtown Gilbert on September 26th from 9am-12pm

Even more fun: Post your completed art on our Facebook page by October 12th at 5pm. If enough art is purchased, we will use the photos to randomly draw a winner who will receive a gift certificate to Board and Brush!

The PTO has a Google Meet account. Would you be interested in attending a video meeting where we work on our art together? Email us if you want to join!

Orders are filled on a first come, first served basis, so we will be placing orders weekly. Use the button above to print a paper form. Forms were also given to the teachers to send home Friday. No online orders will be accepted. Make sure you clearly mark your first and second choices for both theater and day of week. Parent and child tickets are the same price.

  • You can give your tickets to someone else if you can’t attend one week.

The same tickets are used for food and the raffle.

While you’re in there, take a look at the SILENT AUCTION items. These usually get sold at a significant discount from face value so you can score a deal!

  • Make sure to write your name, email, and phone number clearly next to your bid so we can contact you when you win!

At Neely, our staff has worked devotedly over the years to instill a love of the arts in their students. This is an opportunity to appreciate the artist in your child.

Each student will have their artwork on display gallery-style in beautiful frames which can be purchased and taken home that evening. If you’d like, pre-purchase is available through our online store .  A percentage of the sales go back to the school to help support our specials programs: art, band, music, orchestra, and PE.

After you have found and admired your child’s art, be sure to stop at all the creative stations around the campus. There will be a button making station, spin art, and more. There is also a selfie station for photos.

During the event, stop by the creative stations around the campus. There will be a button making station, spin art, and more.

The sixth grade students have two displays in the library. In the first, the students utilize their ingenuity and creativity to create 3D displays showing how objects appear from the perspective of someone one-tenth our size. Interspersed are fascinating science projects covering a wide range of topics.

Notably this year, for Neely’s 20th anniversary, is a reunion of past alumni from orchestra, band and choir! They will perform with current Neely students. Orchestra performs at 5:30, band at 6:00, and choir at 6:30. All Neely alumni are welcome to join! Sign up here by January 17.

Treats and hot chocolate will be available for sale for $1.00 each.  Please bring cash (small bills appreciated) to purchase the treats.

The event is completely free to attend. Please dress appropriately for the weather as all of the art and activity stations will be located outdoors.

Sign up for KNO

The form is set to take payments by cash, check, or PayPal. You may pay with a credit card or e-check through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account.

Only 250 children will be enrolled. We will use names from a waiting list to add children if space opens up.

What does it cost?

It’s $18 for the first child enrolled, and $12 for each additional kid.

This price includes a pizza dinner, water, a treat, and all events for the evening.

What should my kid bring?

Not much! For the movie portion of the evening, the kids will be allowed to lay out blankets and pillows to get comfortable on the cafeteria floor. This will be about 90 minutes at the end of the night. No toys or stuffed animals will be allowed. Please label all items with your name in case they are misplaced. These items will be stored in the music room until they are needed.

Your kid will NOT need a water bottle, a meal, or anything electronic! We have it all covered!

Who is going to be watching my kid?

Neely teachers! Aren’t they wonderful? Each grade will be with a certified teacher and several teen/parent helpers all evening. PTO board members will supervise and organize the event. Only registered volunteers will be allowed through the south cafeteria doors to ensure your child’s safety.

Give me the nitty-gritty. How does this all work?

Arrive before the doors open at 4:45 and get in the single line. Make sure you have your check-in card that will be sent home on Sept 12th. Volunteers will verify your child’s information, make sure you have what you need for check-out, attach allergy wristbands, and direct your kids where to go. You may stay in the cafeteria to help them get comfortable if needed, but only registered volunteers may enter the school campus.

Then you’re off for a kid free evening! We will contact you if your child needs you, we promise, so go with a carefree heart!

Return between 8:30 and 8:45. The east gate will be open and we will need you to be patient as we match children and parents safely. Do not leave younger siblings in the car, please. You will need to follow the check out procedure instructions you received when you dropped off your child(ren). If you do not have the required items, we will have a table so we can verify your ID. Proceed into the waiting area. We have wranglers there to collect your kids for you. Let the wrangler know who you are picking up. If you have a photo of them on your phone, have it available to show the wrangler to make finding the kids faster. Your kids will meet you by the double doors. A volunteer will collect and match you to your child’s nametag at the end of the waiting area and you will be free to go.

*If you have a 6th grader, please use the Remind app at pick-up to text the 6th grade team your child’s name and that you are in line and they will send your kid to the cafeteria.

Lunch Deals are available during the Pre-Sale only. Admission and Rentals can be purchased during the Pre-Sale or at the door.

Any Neely family is welcome! Children do not have to attend Neely, but they do need to be accompanied by someone who currently has a child at Neely (so you can bring your neighbor kids or cousins that you’re watching that day).

Pre-Sale purchases are due to the Neely Office on May 21. Entrance, Lunch, and Rental tickets will come home in an envelope on May 22nd.

Join us for an Indoor
