Coronavirus Info

The best place to start is the district website. We know only what they have published, so if you have questions, please refer to the district communications for answers.

However, we will be consolidating information here as much as we can. We will also be posting updates via Facebook, so be sure to follow our page.

GILBERT SCHOOLS WEBSITE

Please check your email. Teachers and staff have been sending updates about materials that will be available to students starting March 30th. Apps/Websites you may need: Google Classroom, Webex, Google Sites, Khan Academy, and Read Theory.

Make sure you know your child’s email (first initial middle initial first 6 of last [email protected]) and password (gps first initial last 4 of student id). So if your kid is John Michael Thompson and his student ID is 67099834, his log in is [email protected] Google will redirect you to a grey screen and ask for their shortname jmthomp with a password of gpsj9834.

MEALS

Anyone under 18 may pick up breakfast and lunch M-F at certain locations.  The list of schools distributing meals is on the district website.

HELP

The district has put in place distance learning resources for all students. Please have your child check their email and Google Classroom (or other websites as directed) daily for updates. At this point, any work your child completes will only improve their grade so don’t miss out.

Enrichment

You may continue to use the enrichment resources, but campuses have all created curriculum for their students.

ENRICHMENT

PTO STuff

We will be cancelling all future PTO events. We are saddened to miss out on spending time with our wonderful families, but it is what’s best for the community. We are thankful for your support over the first 3 quarters of the year. We anticipate being able to purchase AR for our campus like we have in previous years, although we will have to postpone the purchase of several other items we wanted to update.

Neely Specific Specials Links:

In each section below, click on the text next to the checkmark to be taken to the link. While we have reviewed them, we cannot endorse anything other than the district links. We are just putting these out here to be helpful. If you run across anything you think should be added, please email it to [email protected].

Each year, we partner with SchoolKidz to save you some time shopping and earn funds for our PTO!

Teachers have made their student school supply lists and sent them off to SchoolKidz. Each kit is customized to the grade your child will be in next year, and all items are the name brands that teachers request. No Target lines, no scanning ads and running to 7 stores, no stress at all! You don’t even have to load up bags and boxes and haul it all to school! Kits will be delivered to you at Back to School Night at Neely in August. 🙂

There’s more, too. Is your kiddo’s backpack looking a little tired? You can order a new one along with your kit. Water bottles, lunch boxes, and all those other things that kids need for school are available, too!

Thanks for supporting our school!

BUILD THE CASTLE

Paper Drive

January 28 – February 1

One thing every Neely parent knows is that our school uses a LOT of paper.

Teachers are doing what they can to use less paper every day, but kids learn best when they can touch and see something physically in front of them.

Our campus paper supply is very low and our teachers need our help to make it to the end of the year with enough paper. One of our most helpful events, the Costco shopping night, was discontinued by Costco this year. In the past we have gotten 8-10 cases of paper from that one event. Please help us provide our teachers with one of the basic materials they need.

Bring it in by the ream, the case, or the pallet. Colored or White paper, we will use it all!

We will also accept cash/check donations if you don’t have time to shop. We can use it to buy paper in bulk at a discount.

The Prizes

We need your help in filling our stage with so many reams of paper that we can construct a CASTLE with it! If we can, everyone will earn a special school-wide reward!

How big of a castle do you want to build?

  • Cool Castle: Otterpops for everyone (800 reams)
  • Awesome Castle: Otterpops PLUS a Pajama Day the Friday before Spring Break! (1600 reams)

Also with every ream you donate, you will get one ticket to Skateland for a special Neely Only Skate Party and Indoor Snowball Fight on Tuesday, February 26, from 5:00-7:30pm. Bring your own skates or rent them for only $3.50.

Thank you for donating!

Be sure to subscribe to our website and follow us on Facebook. If we find any paper deals, we will post them!
